Frequently Asked Questions
Have your claim procedures changed because of limited access to local offices?
Our claim procedures are the same and we are available to discuss any questions you may have about the documentation needed to support your cargo claim.
How can I submit my claim if the carrier’s agent at destination has reduced hours of operation or offices are closed?
You may communicate directly with our office. Follow the procedure for filing a claim and provide prompt notification of loss or damage. Your claim and supporting documentation can be submitted by sending an e-mail with attached documents to email@example.com.
Are Delays Covered?
In most marine cargo policies, delay is not considered a covered cause of loss. For this reason it’s very important to discuss with your transportation consultant any potential impact of transit delays; consider routes, ports involved, transit times and parties handling your shipments. Send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org should you have any questions about your coverage.
